The White Chair Project, initiated by two women portrait photographers, Ellen and Sue, aims to spotlight women unafraid to reveal their strength and authenticity. By capturing the essence of these women from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, the project seeks to celebrate their individuality while fostering a sense of unity and understanding within the community. Through listening to their stories and capturing their essence, the White Chair Project aims to create a powerful visual narrative that honors the resilience and diversity of women in society.

Amidst the queue for free food, she stood tall, a testament to resilience and pride. Originally from Fiji, she’s called Redfern home for over three decades. Her unwavering belief? No matter the circumstance, always dress with dignity. Let her story be a reminder of the strength found in self-expression and the power of personal pride.
